- 반포한강수변지구 (Banpo Hangang Riverfront Area) -
어렸을 적 아파트 베란다에 기대어 멍하니 강을 보고 있으면, 어머니가 그만 들어오라고 말씀하시던 기억이 납니다.
옆 동 살던 새댁이 강을 자주 바라보더니 얼마 전 뛰어내렸다는 말과 함께.
이 대화와 일들이 모두 있었던 일인지 이제 그 기억도 확실하지 않습니다.
하지만 지나고 보니 살면서 여러 번 이사를 했어도 저는 계속
강이 있는 도시에 살았고, 둔치에서 숱한 사람들과 시간을 보냈죠.
그 시간만큼 내 감정이 강에 빚지고 있고, 그에 대해 소중하게 생각하고 있습니다.
이 앨범은 강과 그걸 둘러싼 것들에 대한 헌사입니다.
분명 흐르고 있지만 파도 없이 멈춘 듯 고요하고, 언제나 있지만 쉽게 보이진 않고,
무얼 해도 괜찮을 것 같은 공간이지만 별다른 일 없고, 많은 이들의 탄식과 환희가 있는, 강에 대한 헌사.
19년 봄, 406을 타고 한강을 건너며.
워터프루프 드림.
I remember, in my childhood, when I look at the river blankly
from the apartment terrace, my mother said 'stop and come in'.
With telling a story about a new neighboring bride jumped from terrace who often stare the river.
Now, I'm not sure about this memory and story is real.
But I've lived in a city with a river always and spend a lot of time
around it, though I moved several times in my life.
I owe my sentiment in those rivers and hours, and it's special to me.
This album is a letter to the river and surroundings.
The river, which obviously runs but is calm as land with no waves,
absolutely laid in there but hardly seen, is a releasing place
but nothing happened, and, has countless sighs and delights.
In 2019 Spring, Crossing the Hangang river by 406.
